Understanding Therapist Qualifications and Session Costs
The different levels of education and experience among our therapists and how these differences are reflected in session costs.

Our team is a group of professionals with varying backgrounds:
1. Pre-Licensed Therapists, Graduate Level Clinicians
-
These therapists are currently completing their graduate training. They are highly trained, and closely supervised, at both the university level and the clinical level, making them a valuable and cost-effective option for quality care.
-
Session fees are lower due to training status, offering accessible therapy for many clients.
2. Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns
-
These therapists have completed their graduate training, are registered with the state of Florida, and are working toward full licensure. They are under the supervision of a licensed therapist who is also licensed with the state as a supervisor for mental health clinicians.
-
Session fees reflect the degree completion and the registration with the state.

3. Licensed Therapists (LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, etc.)
-
These therapists have completed graduate school, passed licensing exams, and fulfilled all requirements for independent practice. They bring solid clinical experience and can provide a broad range of therapeutic services.
-
Session fees reflect their advanced training and independent licensure.
4. Senior or Specialized Clinicians
-
These therapists typically have many years of experience, advanced certifications, or areas of specialization (such as trauma, DBT, couples therapy, etc.). They often take on complex cases or provide supervision to newer clinicians.
-
Session fees are higher due to extensive experience and specialized skills.

We understand that cost is an important factor when choosing a therapist. Our goal is to match each client with the clinician who best fits their needs, preferences, and budget. If you ever have questions or want to explore your options, our team is always happy to assist.
